Pouring concrete on the Highway 30 overpass at Grand Junction was delayed by two weeks of rain in the area, but the job was finally done Oct. 18.
The completion of the overpass was expected to be ahead of schedule during the very dry August and September, but with the wet October DOT officials are looking at the contracted completion date of Nov. 10.
Sean Sebourn, an FAA-licensed drone operator and owner of Sebourn Video Services, was at the site Tuesday recording prep work and Wednesday while the concrete was being poured. He respected the safety concerns of DOT resident construction engineer Jenny Hoskins and observed a large safety zone.
